Why Istanbul
Istanbul is widely seen as the world capital of hair transplant tourism. Hundreds of clinics sell all-inclusive packages (surgery, hotel, transfers) at a fraction of US or UK prices, and patients fly in from Europe, the Middle East and beyond. The range in quality is just as wide, including clinics where technicians do most of the work. That is why we start here.
Why Miami
Miami is one of the main hair restoration hubs in the US and a gateway for patients from Latin America. Surgery is done by US-licensed physicians under US rules, at prices several times higher than in Turkey. It gives us a benchmark for what the US standard of care costs.
Why Bangkok
Thailand has one of the most established medical tourism industries in the world, with internationally accredited hospitals and specialised clinics. Bangkok draws hair transplant patients from Asia-Pacific, Australia and the Middle East, typically at prices between Turkey and the West.
Why Budapest
Budapest built its reputation on dental tourism and now attracts hair transplant patients too. For Western Europeans it offers EU regulation, short flights and prices well below home, which makes it a common alternative to Istanbul.
Why Warsaw
Poland offers EU standards of care at lower prices than Western Europe, and Warsaw clinics see many patients from the UK, Germany and Scandinavia. It is a useful comparison point for people who want to stay inside the EU.
Other destinations
- India (Delhi, Mumbai): some of the lowest prices anywhere and a large pool of experienced surgeons. Quality varies a lot from clinic to clinic.
- Mexico (Tijuana, Cancún, Guadalajara): a short trip for US patients, with prices well below US clinics.
- South Korea (Seoul): known for skilled surgeons and non-shaven techniques, popular with patients across Asia.
- Georgia (Tbilisi): a smaller, fast-growing hub with Turkish-style packages at similar prices.
